Cleaning our ovens is probably one of the most toxic things we can do in our homes (if you dont do it naturally). Its been a while since I have attempted this, but I finally got to it! Another chore checked off my list.
My oven was horribly coated with a couple of years of baking grime. Im embarrased to say, its been that long since I have cleaned it. Here is the before picture:
The first thing I did was vacuum out the crumbs with my handy dandy Dyson
Next, I coated the oven with Scour Off Heavy Duty paste. [6] (mmm, it smells so good). And, its all natural so I didnt even have to wear gloves! I love this stuff.
It looks like this in the container…
Then I set the timer for 15 minutes, to let the dirt and scour off [6]marry each other.
And poured a cup of Starbucks coffee…
After 15 minutes, I took a wet scrubber and used some elbow grease… and scrubbed! It came of much easier than I expected. If you wanted, you could first run your self oven cleaner, and then clean it. Its not necessary- I didn’t do that.
Here is the amazing after!
I took off the knobs, and sprayed everything… and wiped it all down.
The finished product!
To finish it off, I hung a clean vintage towel.
