May Flowers…

May 24, 2013

I love the smell of fresh cut flowers.  I always purchase them once a week, when I go grocery shopping.  They make me smile & bring an inviting feel to my kitchen. Do you keep fresh flowers in your home? Have a great weekend!

Oh yes, Toni, It’s been a wonderful spring for fresh cut flowers … hyacinths, lily of the valley, tulips, wild cherry branches, daffodils and more tulips … and here’s a recent little vignette

  2. We planted a flower garden out front and every week my 8 year old goes and picks me a bouquet to put in my vase. I think the sweet act warms my heart more than anything. And we’ve now taught him that he needs to cut them long enough so they can get to the water in the vase. I used to just get the heads of the flower. LOL!
    Have a lovely day.

I want to start keeping a vase of flowers on my desk at work, but I don’t think that I can commit to going to the grocery store before work every Monday!

Fresh flowers are lovely! I bring them in from my garden when I can – you’ve inspired me to grab some today for the long weekend. Our high school’s floral design class sells monthly arrangements at a discounted price. A great way to get something nice for a little less.

I also love flowers. I don’t get them regularly but it’s a lovely treat when I do.

    Have a great weekend,

Yes I love filling my home with fresh flowers. There is nothing as happy as a vase of flowers

My kids and I buy flowers weekly on a Monday (though at times it’s a Tuesday) and we call them “Monday Flowers”. It used to just be my DD and I on the way home from school but now that DS is with us when we go, we get two bunches of flowers a week so they can each choose. One for the kitchen and one for the dining room table. They totally brighten up the house and it’s something fun the kids like to do with me so it’s a win-win!

We have roses and peonies that we cut every year for the house. I want to get some new vases. I love the one you have pictured here. It is on my wish list 🙂

  9. As a florist I LOVE fresh cut flowers! I do my best to alway have a “bunch” or two around the house. 😉 If you love the smell of flowers try Stock- they are incredibly fragrant and romantic looking.

When I have extra money I buy them weekly. I like to get mine from the Farmers Market when I go or else from a good sale at the store.
