One Project at a Time: 11/18/14

November 18, 2014

Are you busy planning meals? Cleaning your guest bedroom? Decorating and table setting? Or, are you enjoying the calm before the storm of the holiday season? I’m somewhere in the middle. Not hosting any holiday gatherings at my house really makes it pretty easy to sit back and enjoy the season in a whole different way. But, I’m still planning my contribution to the family meals, decorating for my own enjoyment and cleaning because, well, I love to clean.

No matter if you’re hustling and bustling or if you’re sitting back and enjoying, I’m glad you took the time to join our link party this week!  This is the day we invite you to share your recipes, DIY projects, decorating ideas, cleaning tips and so much more while we feature our two favorite link ups from last week.  If you don’t have a blog, enjoy browsing all those linking up, getting inspired and excited to try something new!

TONI’S PICK:

Sara from Bitz & Giggles is one girl who is not afraid to go there. Just when you think you’ve discussed everything under the sun, you stumble across Sara and her potty mouth. OK, well, maybe not her potty mouth, but let’s talk toilets!  Winter is just around the corner and germs are everywhere and the bathroom had a head start over the rest of the house. With her easy to follow recipe, you too can have a fresher, cleaner commode in no time at all. Check out her post on making your own toilet freshener tabs so you can get started today!

RACHEL’S PICK:

I love to clean. I hate to scrub. If I can let the cleaner do the work and I can just wipe off the rest, I’m a happy homemaker. With that said, I don’t know of anyone that doesn’t have residue issues whether in the bathroom, at the kitchen sink. Deposits happen but that doesn’t mean we have to accept them! Last week, Joyful Homemaking shared how you can use one of the most common every day products to dissolve those deposits away in no time and that means no scrubbing for you and me! This is one post you’ll want to check out!

Not trying to be mean….but can you really say that you LOVE to clean, when you have a house cleaner come regularly? It just seems….kind of fake.

    • Rachel says:

Actually, I am the author of this post, not Toni. I don’t have a house cleaner and actually clean for 3 other families on a regular basis, plus my own home. I find it therapeutic and rewarding.

      • Kayla says:

Wow. I commend you for your love of cleaning! I appreciate the results but I don’t love the process.
