[...] I have been admiring and pinning mug rugs for months. I decided to give it a try for a gift. Here are the steps I took to end up with this cute, first mug rug. A Month Of Thankfulness – Day 5 – I am thankful for the desire to create. I am not an artist but in my own way, I have an artistic bend that comes out in sewing and embroidery. sharing: http://www.skiptomylou.org/2012/11/05/made-by-you-monday-126/ http://www.keepingitsimplecrafts.com/2012/11/motivate-me-monday-147.html http://www.serendipityandspice.com/2012/11/manic-monday-linky-party-37.html http://diyshowoff.com/2012/11/04/diy-project-parade-57/ http://www.sewcando.com/2012/11/show-what-youve-got-at-craftastic.html http://www.ishouldbemoppingthefloor.com/2012/11/mop-it-up-monday-41.html http://www.creatingreallyawesomefreethings.com/m-m-m-129/ http://thesoutherninstitute.com/2012/11/creative-me-linky-party-9.html/ http://www.anoriginalbelle.com/2012/11/make-it-yourself-monday-link-party-53.html http://boogieboardcottage.blogspot.com/2012/11/welcome-to-97th-masterpiece-monday.htmlhttp://sewmanyways.blogspot.com/2012/11/sew-darn-crafty-linky-partyweek-90.htmlhttp://www.abowlfulloflemons.net/2012/11/one-project-at-a-time-11612.htmlhttp://www.notjustahousewife.net/2012/11/show-me-what-a-got-98.htmlhttp://todayscreativeblog.net/recipes-for-fall/ [...]

Hi to all!
I don’t have a blog or website. Way too busy for that at this point in time. My husband/partner of 12 years and I have moved alot in our years together – probably over 15 times. Several stints on our sailboats, while in work flux, with out belongings in storage have compounded the ‘stuff’ issue, with me having to select and purchase only what we would need and be able to store on our sailboat. In all these moves, I’ve done all the packing, unpacking, toting, arranging, myself. Thus, for a dozen years, I’ve had precious little time to go through our belongings and purge what is no longer used. To make things more interesting, we rent, rather than own, our home, as home prices and our transient work environment have made it disadvantageous to purchase homes.
The reason for the background is to ask if there are others who have organization projects that adapt to rental homes, apartments, and such, where we are limited by what is permitted to be installed on walls, etc. Add to my dilemma that my spouse does not participate in domestic activities. Read into that one that I must arrange or perform all chores, repairs, and such, myself, so no installing helper shelves, pull-outs, etc. But who would want to improve the landlord’s home anyhow? I am on a budget after all! Anybody want to do an organizing page, blog, challenge, whatever, for those of us who have been following work, criss-crossing the country, or the globe? We transients aren’t necessarily the stereotypical renters. We just have different lifestyle and organizing challenges. Anybody?
Thanks so much for hosting, Toni! I always glean so many great ideas from your blog and your parties.
Thanks so much for hosting! Have a fantastic day.
Thanks for another great party. I hope you are having a good week.
Hi – I love your lemon theme blog! Lately, I’ve been collecting things “lemon yellow” to spruce up my kitchen. It’s such a bright, sunny color! I’ve linked up two recent projects: a craft for sports fans (an altered can) and a transformed frame using burlap and chicken wire. Hope you can come by for a visit at altered-artworks.blogspot.com
