Weekly Challenge #4 (gift wrap station)

February 20, 2011
Today my guest poster is Danita from Delightful order.  I found danita through blog land and was just amazed at her talent in organizing.  The first thing that caught my eye was her pantry.

Now, thats an organized pantry.  (Drooling over it still). I thought there was no better blogger to do this challenge than her!  I hope you will join our challenge this week. Having a dedicated gift wrapping station will make your life much easier!
Week #4 – The Gift Wrapping Station

Hi, I am DaNita with Delightful Order. I am excited to be a guest blogger on A Bowl Full of Lemons!

Right now I’m in the middle of organizing my craft room. Part of my craft room houses a  Gift Wrap Station and this week I am challenging you to make yourself an organized space for all your gift wrapping supplies.

Gather all your wrapping paper, tissue paper, boxes, bags, scissors, tape, ribbon and any other items you use for gift wrapping and find a spot in your home to keep all of this together in one place.

This is my space:

Go {here} to learn more of the details on my gift wrap station.
Happy Organizing!
I am inviting you to take a peek at some of my more popular posts like:

I’d be delighted if you visited my blog & became a follower and left me a comment or two.

Thank you so much DaNita~ You have been a super inspiration for me, since I do not have a gift wrap station yet.  I will be creating one this week!
Your challenge this week:
!. Find a space to dedicate to organize and store your “gift wrapping” items.  It can be in a closet, pantry, armoire, etc…
2. Gather up ALL of your gift wrapping supplies:
– Tape
– Scissors
– Tissue Paper
– Gift Bags
– Wrapping Paper
– Cards (and a box to put them in)
– Bows & Ribbons
Now on to the fun part, “Organize” your station neatly & make sure to use your labeler.
*I will be sharing my gift wrapping station later this week!
I found this list from listbean.com.  It has everything you need to check off when creating a gift wrap station.

“If you do not have, need, or want a gift wrapping station… this week is a great week to do a {purge}.  Go through a room in your house and find at least 20 things to donate or sell.”  Then take a picture of everything you are sending on its way… to make room for an organized home & come back to show us.

Father’s Day is really a time to celebrate the gift of a great dad. The ties and shirts overflows and restaurants are filled to the brim with doting wives and children. Too often one unique group of fathers are forgotten; the single dad. Single dads comprise those left to raise children alone since of divorce, death, option, or distance (feel wives and mothers in the military). He may well have the hardest job of all dads, since he is filling the role of mother and father. In the haste to acknowledged dads with devoted and accessible partners, don’t forget the single dad subsequent door, at your job, or down the street. He desires to be celebrated too. His needs typically exceed that of other dads in that he is probably just trying to make it through the subsequent moment. Learn more:

I’d love to be THIS organised! However, I actually don’t have an awful of giftwrap as I tend to buy it as I need it – so I can sit this one out!

I will need to skip this one, too. I purged a bunch of stuff and the remaining fit in a gift bag 🙂 I do have my cards organized in a shoe holder, though!! LOL

Your station is amazing Danita 🙂

I was so excited when I saw the challenge this week! It was something I had already done!! There is hope for me yet! Ha Ha…one area of my house already organized…we just won’t talk about the pit of a scrapbook/craft room that it sits in. So, I am not skipping out on anything this week…heading to organize the rest of the room! Can’t wait to see everyone else’s gift wrap staions! Hope everyone has a great week!
